10th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Drives
10th Avenue South sits in the Lakewood and Euclid-St. Paul grid, where live oaks, alley trash pads, and older concrete aprons share the same narrow front yard. A paver drive here fails when the base was never built and the sidewalk grade was ignored.
What the street actually needs
We excavate the failed concrete or loose sand, compact a crushed-concrete base in lifts, and set bedding sand only after the plate compactor has locked the base. The new field meets the city sidewalk flush, with a soldier course that can be lifted if the sidewalk is ground or raised later.
Oak roots get a root barrier or a bridge detail, not a thin overlay. Downspouts are tied to a pop-up or a side swale so summer rain does not sit at the garage threshold.
How to start
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Send photos of the apron, the sidewalk joint, and any heaved sections. We walk 10th Avenue South lots before we lock a number, and we serve the rest of south St. Petersburg from the same St. Pete Beach shop.
