17th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Walks

17th Avenue South runs east-west through south St. Petersburg, where older concrete walks meet city sidewalks and a short parking pad often shares the same strip.

The usual failure is a heaved joint or a settled apron, not a color choice. Oaks hold moisture, and a thin sand bed will not stay locked after summer rain.

Walk and pad sequence

We lift the failed concrete or loose pavers, compact crushed base in lifts over geotextile where the sand is soft, and set the field to the sidewalk elevation so the private walk does not create a trip lip at the right-of-way.

A darker soldier course hides tire scuffs on the parking pad. If a city tree well or sidewalk grind is planned, we stop the field at a resettable border so a later curb adjustment does not tear the whole walk.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
