182nd Avenue North Redington Shores

182nd Avenue North in Redington Shores is a short barrier-island street between Gulf Boulevard and the Intracoastal. Lots are tight, salt air is constant, and a driveway that was set on beach sand does not stay flat.

Barrier-island details

Haul-off is slower than on the mainland, so we plan the base and the reuse of sound pavers before the first truck arrives. Pitch still has to leave the house and the garage slab. Polymeric sand is swept only after the field is dry.

  • Compacted base instead of a sand set on shell and fill

  • Edge restraint that holds in sandy, salty soil

  • Garage and sidewalk joints cut flush

  • Courtyard pitch that does not pond against the screen cage

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
