19th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Approaches

19th Avenue South is a south St. Petersburg residential street where short approaches meet older gutters. The failure shows up as a dip at the sidewalk or a rocking apron after rain.

This is not the same job as a courtyard on 7th Avenue South or a commercial pad on 54th. The lot is usually narrow, and the public sidewalk has to stay passable while we work.

Apron rebuild

Failed concrete comes out. We compact base in lifts, set pavers to the sidewalk and gutter grade, and keep a soldier course at the street edge so a later city curb repair can be reset without rebuilding the drive.

Shade and irrigation overspray keep joints damp, so we do not seal the same day as install. Polymeric sand goes in after the surface is dry.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
