24th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Drives
24th Avenue South is a through street in south St. Petersburg, busier than the numbered side streets around it. Driveways meet a sidewalk and a road crown that already has a job. A field set flat to the garage will pond at the slab or sheet toward the neighbor.
Apron, sidewalk, and the garage lip
We photograph grades before excavation so the finished throat still meets the sidewalk without a lip. Where the garage slab sits a full paver thickness above the old field, we build the base up in thin lifts of crushed concrete at workable moisture instead of feathering sand against the slab.
Edge restraint has to hold on the oak drip line. Plastic edging that kicked out along the parkway is a common call here. We reset the border on a compacted shoulder and lock the joints after the plate passes.
What we will not sell
A catalog color does not fix a soft throat. If the existing stones are still sound, we re-level the settled bay instead of tearing out a field that only failed at the apron. New work uses a load-rated thickness anywhere a car parks.
