26th Street South St. Pete Driveway Repairs
26th Street South runs north-south through residential blocks in south St. Petersburg, between the Childs Park grid and the Lakewood side of Pinellas Point. Many drives are single-width, share a sidewalk joint with the city walk, and were overlaid on an old slab or a thin sand bed.
Typical 26th Street South failures
The apron dips where cars turn in off the street. Alley mouths, where they exist, collect fines and wash out the edge restraint. A sidewalk grind-and-raise by the city can leave the driveway throat proud or low, and that joint is where trips start.
We cut the repair to the failed area when the rest of the field is locked. If the whole drive pumps underfoot, we pull it, rebuild the base, and reset a new edge. Paver color is matched to what is already down when the units are still made; otherwise we border the new field so the patch reads as intentional.
