27th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Walks

27th Avenue South picks up more traffic as it runs toward the Lakewood side of south St. Petersburg. Front walks meet a city sidewalk, and the older drives were often a thin sand bed under a concrete ribbon that has cracked at the garage.

What we set before we talk color

Apron pitch follows the public drainage, not a guess at the garage door. We locate utilities, mark irrigation, and photograph the sidewalk joint so the finished field does not create a new lip. Soldier-course borders hide tire scuff better than a field that runs to a raw cut at the street.

Side yards on these blocks pinch. Staging stays on mats, and we keep a walking path to the front door while the walk is open.

Repair versus replacement

If the stones are sound and only the base has moved, a re-level is the honest job. If the field is patio stone under tires, or the joints have opened after every wet season, we replace that bay with a load-rated thickness on compacted base.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
