28th Avenue North Driveways in Northwest St. Petersburg
28th Avenue North in northwest St. Petersburg is a residential street of older lots, live oaks, and garage slabs that no longer match the gutter. Typical calls are settled concrete ribbons, heaved edges along the drip line, and throats that pond after summer storms.
Base and pitch
We undercut organic pockets, set geotextile over sugar sand where the subgrade needs it, and compact crushed concrete in thin lifts. The field pitches two percent off the garage toward the street or a designed swale. An 80mm interlocking unit carries cars; patio stock stays on walks and courtyards.
Root plates are mapped before excavation. Where a flare sits under the existing ribbon we protect it with a deeper undercut and a flexible section rather than cutting the flare to make the driveway look flat on day one.
Tight-lot staging
Northwest St. Pete streets stack poorly. We drop pallets on mats, protect the neighbor strip, and leave overnight parking when the lot allows it. Call 727-490-9798 or email PaverForge@gmail.com with photos of the oak line, the apron, and the low corner.
