28th Avenue North St. Pete Walkways
28th Avenue North walkways take foot traffic from the porch to the street, and they take the same afternoon storms as the rest of north St. Petersburg. When the path was laid on a skim of sand, roots and rain leave a trip edge at the public sidewalk.
Walkway details that hold
We match the existing paver where we can and rebuild the base where we cannot. The public sidewalk is the city's. The private walk stops at the property line with a clean joint so a later grind-and-raise does not crack our field.
Compacted base under the full walk, not a sand skim
A flush joint at the sidewalk, not a lip
Root-zone rebuild where oaks have lifted the path
Pitch that sheds water off the walk instead of toward the porch

Call 727-490-9798. A few photos of the sidewalk joint, the low spots, and the gate are enough for a same-day reply. We also rebuild drive aprons and courtyard fields on the north avenues from the same St. Pete Beach crew.
