28th Avenue South Corridor Driveways in Gulfport
28th Avenue South cuts across Gulfport and south St. Petersburg through small lots, alley-adjacent parking, and older concrete that has heaved at the city sidewalk. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those throats so the private field meets the public walk without a lip.
City sidewalk and apron
When the city has raised the sidewalk, the old drive is left sitting low. We rebuild the throat to the new walk height, keep the garage slab as the high point, and hide the transition in a soldier-course band instead of a sharp ramp.
On Gulfport sand we do not trust leftover concrete sand as bedding. ASTM C33 bedding over a compacted crushed-concrete base is the section we use unless the owner is on a PICP design.
Tight-lot staging
Many 28th Ave S lots have one-car drives and no extra pad. Pallets come off the truck onto the existing slab or onto mats. We notice neighbors before a saw day because wet-saw dust on a parked car is how small jobs turn into complaints.
