30th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Approaches
30th Avenue South runs through the Lakewood and Childs Park grid, where lots are narrow, sidewalks are city concrete, and many drives still meet the street on a slab that has dropped at the apron. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those approaches in pavers so the field pitches to the street and the garage threshold stays dry.
What this block does to a paver job
A 30th Avenue South approach often has a sidewalk that the city owns, a swale or curb inlet that already has a job, and a garage slab that was poured higher than the walk. Setting the new field flat so it looks level with the garage sends summer rain back at the threshold. We measure the fall from the slab to the sidewalk before we talk color.
Buried irrigation and a side-yard hose bib show up on most of these lots. The paver cut around a valve box or cleanout has to stay flush and removable, not buried under a soldier course that has to be torn out the next time the city marks a locate.
Base, edge, and the apron
Drive approaches here take cars, not patio traffic. That means an 80mm field on a compacted base, an edge restraint that can be reset if the sidewalk is ground later, and joints that can be re-sanded after a storm season. We will not sell a patio paver as a driveway.
If the city sidewalk is heaved, we stop the paver field at the property side of the walk and leave a clean joint. We do not overlay the public sidewalk.
How to start
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online. Send a street-facing photo of the apron and one photo of the garage threshold so the first visit is a measurement, not a guessing session.
