35th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Drives
35th Avenue South runs through the Lakewood side of south St. Petersburg, a few blocks from Lakewood High and the older grid south of 34th Avenue. Drives are short, often shared with a walk that was poured in a separate pour, and many have been patched with cold asphalt at the gutter.
Base before pavers
A paver overlay on that patch will rock. We remove the failed concrete or asphalt, regrade so water leaves the garage and does not stand in the gutter pan, and set an edge that can take a trash truck without creeping into the parkway. Oak roots get a root barrier only where they are already lifting the field, not as a default cut through healthy trees.
Soldier-course borders hide the cut against an existing porch slab. Utility lids in the drive stay flush and accessible. If the city sidewalk was ground, the apron slope is reset to the new elevation.
