36th Avenue North St. Pete Walkways
36th Avenue North cuts across the grid north of downtown St. Petersburg, between the Northeast Park blocks and the wider lots toward Crescent Lake. The city sidewalk is concrete. The walk that fails is the private one from that sidewalk to the porch, or the side path that carries bins and service techs.
What the walk actually needs
Oak roots heave the first few feet off the street. Irrigation overspray keeps the joints dark. A sand-only bed lets the field creep toward the porch step after one wet summer. We excavate to a compacted aggregate base, set a rigid edge, and pitch the walk away from the slab toward a legal outfall.
Compacted aggregate base, not a sand-only bed
Rigid edge so the first course does not walk into the lawn
Pitch away from the house and the porch step
A clean joint at the city sidewalk so the private walk does not fight the public one
PaverForge Hardscapes is based in St. Pete Beach and builds these walks from the same shop. For a 36th Avenue North quote, call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
