44th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Walks

Front walks on 44th Avenue South in south St. Petersburg sit under live oaks and against city sidewalks that have already been ground and raised. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds those walks so the field stays flush at the sidewalk and pitched off the house after the wet season.

The usual failure is a thin sand bed over sugar sand. Shade keeps the joints damp, ants mine the sand, and the walk sinks at the porch step. We excavate the failed bed, compact a crushed-concrete base, and reset a soldier course so the edge does not creep into the lawn.

School-traffic parking on this stretch also loads the walk where guests cut the corner. We thicken the base at that turn and keep the slope gentle enough for a stroller without sending water at the slab.

PaverForge Hardscapes is based in St. Pete Beach and builds the same walk spec in Lakewood, Pinellas Point, and along 44th Avenue South. Call 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page with photos of the low spots and the sidewalk joint.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
