453rd Street North Palm Harbor Paver Courtyards
Courtyards on 453rd Street North are usually the outdoor room between the lanai and a live oak, not a second driveway. Shade, irrigation overspray, and a slider that sits an inch above the old slab are the real constraints.
Pitch before pattern
We pitch the field away from the house and away from the slider track. A courtyard that looks level in a photo holds water against the stucco after a summer storm. Oak roots get a root barrier or a widened joint plan where the trunk is already lifting the old concrete. We do not shave the root to make the paver fit.
What thickness is honest
If the courtyard never sees a car, 60mm patio pavers are enough once the base is compacted in lifts. If a golf cart or a mower crosses it, we step up to a vehicular thickness and a tighter edge. Furniture pads do not replace edge restraint.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds these courtyards from the St. Pete Beach shop and serves north Pinellas on the same crew. Call 727-490-9798 or use https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
