We keep a clear path at least as wide as the gate leaf, with the condenser sitting on its own pad rather than on the walking field. Pitch runs to the front swale or a yard drain, not back to the stem wall. Downspouts that currently splash on the old concrete get a collar or a short extension so the new joints do not wash out.
