458th Street North Palm Harbor Paver Driveway Aprons
458th Street North sits in the Palm Harbor grid north of Curlew, where lots still drain to a shallow swale instead of a closed curb inlet. A new apron fails here when it is set flush with the garage slab and ignores the street.
What the apron has to do
The private field and the public edge are two surfaces. We set the garage threshold so stormwater leaves the slab, then pitch the apron toward the existing swale or curb cut. On shell and sandy fill, that means a compacted aggregate base in lifts, an edge restraint that can be reset, and 80mm concrete pavers wherever a car or boat trailer rolls.
What we check before a number
Utility locates come first. Palm Harbor frontage often hides irrigation laterals, fiber, and an older water service just past the sidewalk. We also look at the neighbor aprons so the new field does not dam the swale. Color and pattern are the last call, not the first.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds driveway aprons, walks, and courtyard pavers across Palm Harbor, Ozona, and Crystal Beach from the St. Pete Beach shop.
