48th Avenue North St. Pete Aprons

48th Avenue North sits in the grid north of downtown St. Petersburg, between 4th Street and 9th Street. The lots are older, the sidewalks have been lifted, and the driveway throat is usually the first place the pavers fail.

PaverForge Hardscapes repairs and resets paver aprons on 48th Avenue North from our St. Pete Beach shop. Call 727-490-9798 or book a walkthrough at paverforge.com/book-online.

What fails at the apron

Cars brake and turn in the same three feet every day. If the base under that throat is patio sand, the stones rock, the joint sand leaves, and the city sidewalk ends up an inch proud of the drive. Irrigation overspray from the parkway strip makes it worse.

  • Cut the failed throat back to sound pavers, not a cosmetic sand top-up

  • Rebuild the base for car load and match the sidewalk elevation the city left

  • Pitch water to the street, not back toward the garage

  • Edge restraint that stays put after the next wet season

How to start

Send photos of the apron, the sidewalk joint, and any low spot at the garage. We walk the lot before we lock a number. Recent north St. Pete work is on the 45th Avenue North aprons post.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
