4th Street North St. Pete Driveway Aprons

4th Street North is a busy north-south corridor from downtown through Old Northeast and the neighborhoods beyond. The paver work we do here is usually the driveway mouth and the first twenty feet, where turning traffic and a city sidewalk joint tear up a thin apron.

Apron and right-of-way limits

The public sidewalk and the curb are not ours to rebuild without the city process. We repair the private drive up to that joint, match the elevation the sidewalk was left at, and set edge restraint so the first course does not walk into the right-of-way. Utility locates come before any excavation on this corridor.

Side streets that tee into 4th Street North often have older bungalow drives with a single apron flare. Root heave at the parkway strip is common. We rebuild the failed flare, keep a movement joint at the sidewalk, and do not bury irrigation heads in the new field.

How to book

Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 with the cross street. A photo from the sidewalk looking at the apron tells us whether this is a throat repair or a full drive. Book a walk at paverforge.com/book-online.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
