4th Street South Hardscapes in Midtown-South St. Petersburg

4th Street South is a mixed corridor: houses, small offices, and storefronts that share tight parking. PaverForge Hardscapes builds private drives and small commercial-adjacent walks here that look finished from the curb and still drain after a summer cell.

Midtown-south lots need a tighter layout

These parcels often have a side yard only wide enough for a wheelbarrow, a meter cluster at the front corner, and a walk that has to meet an existing public sidewalk. We shoot grades first so the new field does not dump water onto a neighbor or pond at a storefront door.

  • Keep detectable-warning plates and door thresholds in the plan on commercial-adjacent entries.

  • Isolate the house or storefront slab with a clean joint so seasonal movement does not telegraph.

  • Use a denser pattern in tire paths and a quieter field in courtyard seating.

What we will not do on 4th Street South

We will not glue pavers to a failed slab and call it a renovation. If the concrete is pumping or holding water at the door, we remove it, rebuild the base, and set a field that can be lifted later for a utility cut.

PaverForge Hardscapes is based in St. Pete Beach and works this corridor regularly. Call 727-490-9798 or email PaverForge@gmail.com.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
