66th Street South Corridor Hardscapes toward Gulfport
66th Street North already has its own traffic and commercial pads. 66th Street South is a different corridor. It drops from the Tyrone retail edge toward Gulfport with a mix of houses, small offices, and lots that share a driveway with a side street. The public apron and the private field rarely match in thickness, pitch, or material.
PaverForge treats this south corridor as its own service strip so a Gulfport homeowner is not getting a Tyrone-mall spec, and a small office pad is not getting a patio spec.
What fails first on this corridor
City apron remaining concrete while the private field was overlaid thin and now pumps sand.
One-way pitch that dumps corridor sheet-flow into the garage.
Edge restraint that was never pinned on the downhill side toward the side street.
Commercial-adjacent parking that was built like a patio and ruts under delivery vans.
How we build the private field
We leave the public apron to the city or county spec and rebuild the private field as an interlocking section with a compacted base, geotextile where the subgrade is sugar sand, and a pinned edge. If the owner wants the look to carry across the sidewalk, we pick a field color that can sit next to the public concrete without pretending the apron is part of the paver warranty.
