6th Avenue South St. Pete Paver Patios
6th Avenue South sits in the same close-in grid as the Old Southeast, with smaller rear yards, lanai slabs, and patios that were poured flat against the house. PaverForge Hardscapes replaces those pads so the field falls to the yard and the screen-cage threshold stays in plane.
Flat slabs and summer rain
A patio that looks level usually pitches back at the slider. On these lots the fix is excavation, not an overlay. We remove the failed concrete, compact the base, and set the paver field with a measurable fall away from the house and the cage knee wall.
Pool-cage posts that already pierce the old slab get a clean collar, not a paver cut that rocks. If the cage is coming down for a reroof, we sequence the patio after the posts are reset.
What belongs in the field
Downspouts, a grill pad, and a small outdoor-kitchen run are common on this block. Each gets its own pitch and, where water is involved, a drain that is trapped and reachable. Joint sand is compacted and left ready to re-sand after the first wet season.
We match existing pavers when the owner has a sound field to extend. A new color is a separate conversation from the drainage.
