78th Avenue North Driveways in Pinellas Park

78th Avenue North cuts through Pinellas Park as a mixed corridor: ranch houses on one side, shop yards and small warehouses on the other. Driveways here see more than a commuter sedan. Owners want a field that takes a work van, a boat trailer, or a delivery box truck without pumping at the apron.

Section depth on a work driveway

A patio section fails under repeated dual-wheel loads. On 78th Ave N we use an 80 mm or thicker interlocking unit on the drive, a deeper crushed-concrete base, and a proof-roll before bedding sand. Borders get pinned edge restraint so the first course does not creep into the swale.

  • City apron and curb-cut stay on the municipal spec; the private field starts at the property line.

  • Utility lids and cleanouts get grade rings so they finish flush with the new surface.

  • Shared drives get a joint layout both owners can live with before we cut.

Stormwater along the corridor

Pinellas Park roadside swales do the drainage work. We do not bury the swale invert with extra base. The field crowns or pitches to the swale, and any culvert crossing gets a compactable section so the pipe is not sitting in a soft pocket.

If your 78th Avenue North driveway has rutted at the street or ponded at the garage, call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
