Bahama Shores St. Petersburg Paver Walks and Waterfront Patios
Bahama Shores is the waterfront pocket south of Lake Maggiore, between the bay and the 54th Avenue South corridor. Streets are mature, oaks sit close to the walks, and many houses still have original concrete that has cracked at the roots and settled at the porch. A full tear-out is not always the right first move. A matched repair band or a new walk that ties to the remaining field often solves the trip edges without rewriting the front yard.
Roots, flood splash, and porch ties
Live oak plates heave the public-side walk and the private apron on different schedules. We saw-cut a clean line, lift only the failed courses, and reset them on a recompacted base with a root barrier where the arborist says the roots can be redirected. Waterfront patios get a positive pitch off the house, a bond break at the slab, and joints that can be re-sanded after a king tide instead of a mortar bed that cracks.
Matching what is already there
South St. Pete fields are often a mixed running bond with a darker soldier border. We blend pallets, keep a repair stack from the same run, and hide tire scuffs in a charcoal border rather than a light field unit. Permits and right-of-way apron work stay with the city side of the sidewalk. The private field is what we rebuild.
