Bass Boulevard Dunedin Paver Approaches

Bass Boulevard runs through north Dunedin toward the Curlew corridor. Older concrete aprons here crack at the sidewalk, and the sand under them has often washed out after years of irrigation overspray.

Rebuild the approach, do not cap it

Capping a settled apron with pavers copies the low spot. We remove the failed concrete, rebuild the base, and set the new field so the sidewalk joint is flush and the garage threshold still sheds water out.

  • Saw-cut a clean line at sound concrete we are keeping

  • Geotextile where the subgrade is sugar sand

  • Edge restraint pinned into the base, not the bedding sand

  • Polymeric sand only after the field is dry and locked

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
