Bayshore Beautiful Neighborhood Driveways in Northeast St. Petersburg
Bayshore Beautiful sits on the northeast side of St. Petersburg, between Coffee Pot Bayou and the Snell Isle bridges. Lots are narrow, many face Bayshore Drive, and the backyard is often a seawall rather than a lawn. A driveway that looks level in a photo can still hold water against the garage after a king tide and an afternoon storm hit the same day.
What the street actually does to the job
Bayshore Drive carries local traffic plus people circling the bay. Aprons meet a city sidewalk and a curb that the city owns. We do not reset the public sidewalk to make a private field look flatter. The private field is pitched to the street, a side swale, or a drain that already has an outfall.
Older homes here often have a brick or concrete walk that has heaved at the live oaks. If the units are sound we re-level them. If the base is sugar sand or leftover fill, we excavate and rebuild the section instead of laying new pavers on the failed bed.
Seawall-side patios
A rear patio on these lots has almost no fall to work with. We set the field so water leaves the slider, keep an isolation joint at the pool beam or house slab, and stop the pavers short of the seawall cap so the cap can be maintained. Edge restraint is pinned, not a plastic strip that salt air and mower wheels will walk off.
How to start
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or book a walkthrough at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online. Photos of the apron, the low spot, and the seawall side are enough for a same-day reply. We walk the lot before we lock a number.
