Bermuda Bay Neighborhood Driveways in South St. Petersburg
Bermuda Bay sits in south St. Petersburg near the Pinellas Bayway approach, with short lots, canal-adjacent yards, and driveways that take both guest parking and boat-trailer turns. PaverForge Hardscapes builds those fields so the throat stays matched to the city walk and the mid-field does not dish after a summer storm.
What fails on these lots
The common failure is a thin base over organic fill, plus an apron that was never re-keyed after the city raised the sidewalk. We undercut the soft spots, compact crushed concrete in lifts, and rebuild the first rows at the throat instead of feathering bedding sand uphill against a higher walk.
Trailers, salt, and edges
Trailer jacks punch through 60mm units. Drive fields here go 80mm with a darker soldier border that hides scuffs. Edge restraint is pinned at the water side of the lot because storm surge and mower traffic walk an unpinned plastic edge in one season.
