Boat-Lift Guide-Post Footing Collars on a Pinellas Seawall Approach
Guide posts on a boat lift take a side load every time a hull comes in off-center. If that post is poked through bedding sand, the pavers around it shatter and the post leans. A footing collar isolates the post from the walking surface.
Collar, not a random cut
PaverForge Hardscapes sets the collar on the structural footing, above the compacted base, and cuts pavers to the ring. The ring is flush so a dock cart does not trip, and it is wide enough that a marine electrician can still reach bolts. We do not bury the base plate under polymeric sand.
The approach still pitches off the cap. The collar is not a drain. If the lift motor needs its own pad, that pad is isolated too, so winch vibration does not walk the field.
Where this shows up
Canal lots in Gulfport, Pasadena, Shore Acres, and Safety Harbor are the usual calls, including Mullet Creek yards with a short lift. A davit is a different footing. We say which one we are building before we cut.
PaverForge Hardscapes is in St. Pete Beach. Call 727-490-9798 with a photo of the posts, the cap, and the walk you want to keep.
