Clearwater Estates Neighborhood Driveways
Clearwater Estates is a mid-county pocket of longer drives, mature live oaks, and mixed original concrete. When those slabs crack or heave, homeowners look for a paver field that can be opened later without tearing the whole streetscape out.
Roots, length, and apron geometry
Live-oak flares under the first third of a drive are common here. We undercut around the flare instead of ringing the tree to death, then use a thicker crushed-concrete section and, where needed, a root barrier at the field edge so new growth does not lift the soldier course.
Long fields need mid-drive control bands. A darker soldier or sailor course every so many feet hides tire scuffs and gives us a clean line to re-level a settlement pocket later without opening the whole driveway.
Matching the city work
Clearwater apron and sidewalk raises after utility cuts are a regular trigger. We rebuild the private throat to the new city elevation so the first rain does not sheet into the garage. Edge restraint is pinned through the corner radii so storm flow does not peel the first course.
