Downtown Clearwater Courtyards and Storefront Walks
Cleveland Street and the blocks around downtown Clearwater are not a residential driveway problem. They are courtyards, side-door walks, and small commercial approaches that have to take carts, deliveries, and weekend foot traffic without turning into a trip hazard by August.
Access is the design constraint
Many of these spaces sit behind a gate or off an alley. A full-size dump truck may not fit. We plan smaller loads, hand staging, and a work window that does not block a neighboring business all day. If that extra labor is required, it belongs in the quote, not as a surprise on day two.
Choose a paver thickness that matches carts and occasional service vehicles, not only pedestrians.
Keep joints tight and edges restrained so chairs and dollies do not walk the field apart.
Pitch to an existing drain. Do not invent a low spot in the middle of a courtyard.
Use a surface that can be cleaned without stripping a film every season.
HOA and city frontage
Some downtown parcels sit in districts with review on visible hardscape. We can work from a simple plan and photos. We do not file every permit for every owner, but we will tell you when the city or a landlord usually wants a drawing before the saw comes out.
A courtyard that ponds after a summer storm is a failed job, even if the pattern photographs well.
