First Avenue South Warehouse-Arts Hardscapes in St. Petersburg
First Avenue South between the warehouse-arts blocks and the approach to downtown is a different paver job than a Gulf-front patio. Loading docks, alley dumpsters, ride-share pull-offs, and gallery courtyards all sit on the same short frontage. PaverForge Hardscapes builds those fields from St. Pete Beach and stages them so a Thursday night opening does not share a driveway with a Friday dumpster route.
What the corridor actually asks of a paver field
Many First Avenue South lots still have a cracked slab, a painted parking stall, or a gravel alley apron. The new field has to take delivery vans, not just foot traffic, and it has to sheet-flow toward the gutter instead of into the gallery door. We survey the existing crown, the dock height, and the city sidewalk joint before we talk color.
Alley-loaded pads that keep trash enclosures off the public walk.
Storefront courtyards with a soldier-course border that hides cart scuffs.
Compacted base thick enough for a box truck, not only a sedan.
Cleanouts at downspouts so a summer cell does not flood the threshold.
Staging on a tight arts-district lot
There is rarely a side yard. We stage pallets on the street only in the window the city allows, cut on a wet saw with dust control, and leave the gallery entrance open. Extra units stay on a labeled reserve pallet so a later utility cut can be patched with the same lot, not a blotchy leftover from another job.
