Flush AC Line-Set Chase Collars in a Finished Pinellas Patio

A line set that punches through a finished patio is an easy place to lose the field. The pipes move a little, the insulation gets nicked, and the cut pavers rock. A flush chase collar gives the mechanic a clean opening and gives the pavers an edge to lock against.

How we set the collar

PaverForge Hardscapes locates the line set before the screed goes down. The collar sits on the compacted base, not on bedding sand, and the insulation stays inside the sleeve. Pavers are cut to the collar, not to the bare copper. Polymeric sand is kept out of the opening so a later pull does not glue the chase shut.

Pitch still runs past the collar. The ring is not a drain. If condensate drips at the same wall, that is a separate splash pad or a neutralizer pad, not a hole in the line-set collar.

When to add one

New screen-cage floors, outdoor-kitchen walls, and any patio that wraps the condenser are the usual spots. A replacement condenser on an old pad is the other one: we lift only the cut units, set the collar, and re-lay so the field matches.

PaverForge Hardscapes sets these across Pinellas from St. Pete Beach. Call 727-490-9798 with a photo of the line set and the nearest joint.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
