Flush Boat-Lift GFCI Pedestal Grade Rings

A boat-lift GFCI pedestal on a Pinellas seawall walk is easy to bury. The dock approach gets repaved, the pedestal stays, and the cover ends up below the new paver field or perched on a concrete blob. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a flush grade ring so the pedestal stays reachable, bonded, and above standing water.

What the ring is doing

The ring is not the electrical work. A licensed electrician owns the GFCI, the whip, and the bonding. We own the hardscape around it: a sleeve or collar that matches the finished paver elevation, a weep so bay wash and rain do not stand in the box, and a field that can be lifted later without cutting the conduit.

Seawall walks move. Caps settle, and storm tide leaves sand in every low joint. A ring set to today's cap elevation, with a removable paver pocket, keeps the next reset from burying the cover.

How it meets the walk

We cut the paver field to the ring, restrain the edge, and keep polymeric sand out of the weep. If the pedestal also carries the lift remote or a hose bib, those stay in their own collars so one repair does not open the whole walk.

This is a different detail from a boat-lift winch-motor pad or a limit-switch pedestal. Those carry equipment load. This ring only keeps the GFCI cover flush and serviceable.

How to start

Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online. Send a photo of the pedestal and one of the seawall walk so we can see whether the cover is already below the field.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
