Flush Irrigation Master-Valve Boxes in Paver Drives
A zone-valve box feeds one station. The master valve shuts the whole irrigation system, and on Pinellas lots it often lands in the driveway throat or the side-yard walk. A rocking lid becomes a trip edge and a tire slap every time a car leaves.
Collar, not a paver balanced on the box
We set a flush collar or a cut-paver lid that sits on a stable frame, not on bedding sand. The box stays reachable, the lid clears a mower, and the surrounding field is pinned so the joint does not open when the valve is serviced. If the box is already buried proud of the drive, we reset the grade rather than shaving the lid.
Where it should not go
We keep the master valve out of the garage threshold and out of the pool-deck bonding path. A side-yard pad or a marked spot in the drive, with a photo in the as-built notes, is the usual answer. This is a different detail from a zone-valve collar or a hose-bib ring.
