Flush Seawall Deadman Access Plates in Pinellas
Canal yards in St. Pete, Gulfport, and Tierra Verde often hide a deadman or tie-back a few feet inshore of the seawall. Paving over that anchor with a locked field means the next wall repair starts with a jackhammer. A flush access plate keeps the patio continuous and the anchor reachable.
What the plate has to do
The plate is a restrained paver panel, not a loose lid. It sits on a compacted pocket, matches the field bond, and lifts as a unit when a marine contractor needs the rod or the concrete anchor. We do not cut the seawall cap or alter the wall.
Locate the tie-back from the wall plan or a careful probe, not a guess
Frame the opening with edge restraint so neighboring pavers stay put
Keep the plate flush so it is not a trip edge on the patio
Label the layout on the as-built note we leave with the owner
PaverForge Hardscapes builds these plates with the patio, not as an afterthought. Call 727-490-9798 to plan one before the field is sanded.
