Gandy Boulevard Corridor Driveways in South St. Pete
The Gandy Boulevard corridor on the south side of St. Petersburg is commuter traffic, bay fill, and a mix of mid-century houses and small commercial pads. Driveways here see more turning and braking than a dead-end beach street. A patio-thickness field will rut.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds 80mm driveway fields on a compacted base for homes and small pads off Gandy. We also re-level existing pavers when the stone is still good and the failure is in the bedding, not the units.
What changes off a busy corridor
80mm units under cars, 60mm only on walks and courts
Base compacted in lifts, not dumped and raked
A soldier-course or other locked border at the apron
Pitch that keeps sheet flow off the garage and out of the wheel path
Aprons and the city approach
The last eight feet toward the street is where a pretty field meets public right-of-way. We do not invent permit fees, but we will tell you when the apron or sidewalk transition needs a city conversation before we cut. A floating paver field that ends in a broken concrete lip is a trip and a future callback.
If the existing slab is pumping, we excavate. Overlay is only on the table when height and stability both work. Call 727-490-9798 and we will walk the Gandy-side lot before we quote thickness or pattern.
