Gulfport Gardens Neighborhood Driveways
Gulfport Gardens is a small residential grid west of Gulfport Boulevard where driveways are short, side yards are skinny, and almost every house sits close to the street. That is a good paver neighborhood if the base is built like a driveway and not like a patio. PaverForge Hardscapes works these lots with a compact crew so we are not occupying half the block.
Short drives still need a full section
Homeowners sometimes ask for a thin overlay because the existing concrete is only twenty feet long. Overlay on cracked Gulfport slabs fails at the garage lip first. We excavate to a planned depth, place geotextile when the subgrade is sandy or organic, and build an ICPI-style crushed-concrete section with bedding sand that is actually C33, not leftover concrete sand from another job.
Match garage-slab elevation so the first paver course does not create a trip or a dam.
Keep polymeric sand out of the last wet evening if rain is on the radar.
Use a darker soldier course if the household parks close to the house and scuffs the border.
Reset irrigation heads so overspray does not sit on the new joints for the first week.
Permits and the Gulfport street edge
When the work touches the city apron or a curb cut, we photograph existing conditions for the packet and keep the public walk open. Inside the private field we still pin corners and mid-runs so the short driveway does not fan open.
