Gulfport Shores Neighborhood Driveways
Gulfport Shores driveways
Gulfport Shores sits on the Boca Ciega side of Gulfport, with short lots, salt air, and streets that take king-tide splash more than once a year. A driveway poured or set without a real base dishes toward the house. Joints wash. Plastic edge walks into the lawn after one storm season.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds canal-adjacent fields that drain to the street, lock at the edge, and use metal or pinned restraint that survives salt air better than cheap landscape spike.
What the lot asks for
A two-percent pitch off the slab so tide splash and stormwater do not sit against the house.
Salt-air edge restraint that does not rust into the first soldier course.
A throat that matches the city apron after Gulfport sidewalk work.
Screen-cage runoff from a rear patio that should not dump onto the drive joints.
How we set the field
We shoot grades from slab to gutter before demolition. Base is compacted crushed concrete. On organic pockets we undercut and stabilize. The field is 80mm. We leave a clean soldier or sailor border so tire scuffs hide on a darker unit. Joints are sanded on a dry day and kept off irrigation for the first week.
If the rear patio also needs a re-pitch or a cage-footer isolation, we plan that in the same visit so the two planes meet at one step, not a trip lip.
