Hamden Drive Clearwater Beach Paver Walks

Hamden Drive is a north Clearwater Beach residential street, a short run off Mandalay where the lot is narrow and the gulf weather is not optional. Walks and small courts here fail from salt, irrigation, and a base that was never compacted.

What a beach-lot walk has to survive

Salt air eats cheap metal edge. We use a restraint that can live in that air, and we do not bury the edge where a mower or a cart will kick it out. Pitch leaves the house. A walk set flat to the lanai slab ponds at the slider after the first hard rain.

Beach fill is not a structural base. We undercut loose pockets, compact aggregate in lifts, and keep the field off the dune or coastal setback line. If a permit or a city review is in play, we build the packet around the grades we measured, not a catalog rendering.

Access on a tight beach street

Hamden does not have room for a dump trailer in the travel lane all day. We stage pallets on mats, keep one car able to leave, and sequence cuts so the neighbor walk stays open. Hose bibs and irrigation valves get flush collars so they can be serviced later.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
