Historic Uptown and Edge District Hardscapes in St. Pete

Historic Uptown and the Edge District are not beach lots. They are alley-loaded courtyards, narrow side yards, and small commercial entries a few blocks from downtown St. Petersburg. Access is the first constraint. Dump-truck paths are rare.

PaverForge Hardscapes builds and re-levels pavers in Historic Uptown and the Edge District from our St. Pete Beach shop. Call 727-490-9798 or book a walkthrough.

What a downtown-adjacent lot actually needs

These jobs fail when someone prices them like a suburban driveway. Material has to stage on a tight street. The base still has to be compacted. Water still has to leave the courtyard instead of sitting against a storefront or a back door.

  • A staging plan that fits an alley or a one-way street

  • Compacted base sized for the real load, including service carts and daily parking

  • Pitch to a drain or a working low point, not toward the building

  • An edge that can be maintained later without tearing the field apart

If the existing stones are still sound, we re-level the failed section. A full tear-out is for fields that have already lost the base.

How to start an Uptown or Edge District quote

Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. Send photos of the courtyard, the alley, and the street frontage. We typically reply the same business day and will walk the lot before we lock a number.

We also serve downtown St. Petersburg, Historic Kenwood, Old Northeast, and Crescent Lake from the same crew.

Flush Seawall Flag-Staff Socket Plates

A flush flag-staff socket plate sets a removable courtesy-flag socket in the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the staff is out.
