Imperial Point and Imperial Cove Hardscapes in Clearwater
Imperial Point and Imperial Cove sit on the mainland Clearwater grid north of Island Estates. Lots look simple from the street. The soil is not. Fill, irrigation lines, and a high water table are the usual combination. PaverForge Hardscapes builds driveways and courtyard walks here the same way we build the rest of Pinellas: excavate, compact a real base, set an edge that cannot creep, and pitch the field to a known outlet.
What these neighborhoods actually need
Many Imperial Point drives were poured as thin concrete or set as pavers on a couple of inches of sand. Both fail the same way. The first courses along the garage drop, the field dishes in the tire tracks, and weeds take the joints. A courtyard that was raked level in 2012 now holds water against the slider.
80mm concrete pavers on drives that see daily cars; 60mm is fine on a courtyard that never takes a tire.
Geotextile over sugar sand or mixed fill before the first lift of base.
Edge restraint pinned into the base, not stapled into sod.
A soldier course that can be lifted later without tearing the field.
Access and staging
Side yards in Imperial Cove are often tight. We measure gate width and overhead lines before a truck is scheduled. Material is staged on plywood, not on the neighbor's lawn. If the HOA has a quiet-hours window, the noisy cuts happen inside it.
