Isolating a New Pool Plaster Job From an Existing Paver Deck

A Pinellas pool replaster dumps rinse water, slurry, and foot traffic onto the deck. If that deck is sand-set pavers, plaster fines lock in the joints and acid etch leaves light spots that do not clean out. PaverForge Hardscapes isolates the beam, covers the field, and resets any units the plaster crew has to lift at the coping.

Sequence

Cover boards and plastic go down before chip-out. The isolation joint at the beam stays open so the new plaster can move. We keep skimmers and weirs clear of polymeric if the deck will be re-sanded after the pool crew leaves. Equipment pads and heater stands get a rinse path that does not sheet across the field.

After the plaster cure

We pull the cover, check lippage at the coping, and re-sand only the courses that were opened. Do not pressure-wash fresh polymeric the same week. Call 727-490-9798 when you book the plasterer so the deck plan is in the same packet.
