Jasmine Street NE St. Pete Courtyards
Jasmine Street NE is a short Old Northeast block in St. Petersburg, between the Coffee Pot Bayou edge and the brick-street grid of Poplar and Locust. Lots are narrow, oaks are old, and the courtyard is usually the only private outdoor room.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds and re-levels paver courtyards here when a sand-set patio has heaved, a screen cage needs a floor that still drains, or a previous concrete pad has cracked at the bayou-side fence.
Old Northeast courtyard constraints
Access is the hard part. Brick streets, tight side yards, and no place to stockpile base mean the job is sequenced in small loads. We protect the brick and the neighbor's oak before the first pallet lands.
The field is set below the slider track, pitched to a working low point, and restrained so a root can be cut around later without tearing the whole patio. Where the courtyard meets a seawall cap or a bayou fence, the border stops short of the cap joint so the wall can move without telegraphing into the pavers.
What we measure first
Slider and French-door thresholds, so the field does not bridge the weep.
Oak trunks and drip lines, so the base is not compacted against the root flare.
Side-yard width, so a cart can still pass after the border is in.
Downspouts, which on these cottages often discharge into the same corner as the patio.
