Kolb Park-Adjacent Walks in Indian Rocks Beach
Kolb Park sits on the gulf side of Indian Rocks Beach, a short walk from the public beach accesses. Lots that face the park look easy until the first weekend in season: shade from park oaks, fine sand, and street parking that leaves no room to stage a pallet without blocking a beachgoer.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds park-adjacent walks, stoops, and short drives here so the field stays locked after a wet season and the park edge does not become the drainage plan.
What these IRB lots need
Root-aware excavation along the park oaks. Geotextile over sugar sand. A crushed-concrete base compacted in thin lifts. Salt-tolerant pinned restraint instead of a rusty landscape spike that lasts one season. Pitch back to the street or a yard drain — never a hidden fall line into the park.
Walks get a slip-resistant texture and a contrasting border at the park sidewalk so a heaved city slab does not create a trip at the property line. We meet the sidewalk; we do not bury it.
Weekend staging
Gulf Boulevard and 1st Street fill up on Saturdays. We plan drops so dump trucks do not sit in the beach access, and we sequence cuts so the household can still roll a cooler to the sand.
