Lake St. George Driveways in Palm Harbor
Lake St. George sits in north Pinellas off the East Lake and Palm Harbor grid. Lots here are sandier than a downtown St. Pete alley and often sit inside an HOA that wants a color board, a pattern drawing, and a work-hour window before anyone puts a plate compactor on the street. PaverForge Hardscapes builds those driveways and the small patio pads that face the lake.
Sand soils and section depth
Sugar sand does not become a base just because you ran a plate over it. We undercut organic pockets, roll a geotextile, and build crushed-concrete lifts to the ICPI residential driveway depth for the traffic the house actually has. Proof-rolling the last lift shows whether the section will print under a loaded pickup before bedding sand goes down. If it prints, we add lift, not more sand.
Lake-lot drainage without a silt plume
Water has to leave the paver field. It should not leave as a brown sheet into the lake after every afternoon storm. We keep the field pitch on the house side of the lot, use a small swale or a rain garden at the low corner when the grade allows it, and keep open-graded joint stone only on the PICP stalls that were designed for it. A standard sand-set driveway with polymeric joints is still the right product for most Lake St. George homes.
HOA packet we send with the quote
Manufacturer color name and a photo of a local mock-up, not a catalog render.
Pattern and border callout so the board is not guessing at herringbone versus running bond.
Staging plan for pallets and the dumpster so the common island is not used as a yard.
Work-hour and weekend limits copied from the association rules.
