Lakewood Civic Drives along 54th Avenue South
54th Avenue South through the Lakewood Civic neighborhood is a residential street with deep oaks, older slabs, and driveways that meet a busy collector. This is not a mall-pad job. PaverForge Hardscapes rebuilds the private field so water leaves the garage and does not stand at the sidewalk after a summer cell.
Apron, roots, and pitch
The city apron and the private paver field are two systems. We match elevation at the joint so there is no lip for a stroller or a low sports car. Live-oak plates under the old concrete get an undercut and geotextile; we do not pave over a hump and hope the sand hides it.
Crushed-concrete base is compacted in lifts. Bedding sand stays a consistent thickness. A pinned edge restraint keeps the first course from walking toward the street when trucks use 54th as a cut-through.
What we need for a quote
Send a photo of the slab lip, the sidewalk joint, and any ponding after rain. We will tell you whether the job is a relay on a sound base or a full excavation. PaverForge Hardscapes works Lakewood Civic and south St. Petersburg. Call 727-490-9798 or email PaverForge@gmail.com.
