Mangrove Bay Neighborhood Driveways in St. Petersburg
Mangrove Bay sits on the Tampa Bay side of northeast St. Petersburg, a mix of mid-rise condos and townhome clusters with short private drives and shared parking courts. The lots look finished from the street. The subgrade is still Florida sand with a high water table, and the bay edge throws salt air onto cheap metal edge restraint.
PaverForge Hardscapes installs and rebuilds interlocking concrete-paver drives and court pads here when the original slab has cracked, the plastic edge has kicked out, or stormwater sheets toward a building door instead of a designed low point.
What a Mangrove Bay drive actually has to do
Most fronts are short. There is rarely a place to stockpile base without blocking a neighbor stall. We measure the garage or carport lip first, then set the finished paver elevation so a car does not scrape and water still leaves the threshold. Geotextile over loose sand, crushed-concrete base compacted in thin lifts, and salt-tolerant pinned restraint are the section — not a thin skin of patio stone on leftover bedding.
Shared courts get 80mm units and a soldier-course or Belgian-block edge that can be maintained after a king-tide season. We will not sell a 60mm patio paver as a parking surface.
Staging on a bay-front court
Pallets land on mats. Cuts are sequenced so one household can still park overnight. Utility locates happen before excavation because older laterals and irrigation are common under these courts.
