Matching Pool-Beam Coping Height After a Pinellas Deck Tear-Out

Most Pinellas redecks keep the existing pool beam and waterline tile. The old deck may have been two inches high at the sliders and dead flat at the shallow-end step. PaverForge Hardscapes shoots the beam, the cage kick plate, and every door sill before a single paver is ordered.

Coping is not a decoration

If the new field sits above the coping, chairs rock and water sits on the tile. If it sits below, you get a trip and a place for oak leaves to rot. We set the finished paver elevation to the coping with a hairline drip edge, not a buried first course.

Screens, covers, and isolation

Screen posts and auto-cover tracks stay isolated from the field. We do not bury a cover rail under bedding sand and hope the next service tech can find it. Expansion gaps at the beam get a compressible backer so the deck can move in August without popping coping.

For a Pinellas pool-deck tear-out that has to hit an existing beam, call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798.
