McKay Creek Paver Yards in West Largo
McKay Creek is a large watershed through west Largo, and a lot of the residential frontage sits close to the channel south of Harbor Bluffs. Residents have pressed the city about flooding on streets such as Crescent Drive. A paver yard on these lots has to assume water will visit, not that it never will.
Drainage before pattern
We set the field so water leaves the garage and the slider, even if the creek is high. That can mean a short swale at the lawn edge, a channel drain at the lanai, or a raised first course where the old slab was the low point. We do not bury a drain that has nowhere to go.
Organic pockets and washed sand get undercut. Geotextile separates the new base from pumping soil. Edge restraint is pinned on a real shoulder, not spiked into muck. After a storm we would rather re-sweep a joint than rebuild a field that was never compacted.

Send a photo of the creek side, the low joint, and the street apron. PaverForge Hardscapes will say whether a re-level holds or the base has to come out. Call 727-490-9798. We cover Largo, Harbor Bluffs, Indian Rocks Beach, and St. Pete Beach from the same shop.
