MLK Street South Midtown St. Pete Paver Driveways and Walks
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South runs through midtown and south St. Petersburg on lots that predate modern drainage. Live oaks, narrow throats, and slabs that were poured flat are why a new surface fails if the base is ignored.
Roots, aprons, and overnight parking
We undercut organic soil and root plates that would heave a thin set. The driveway throat is flared to the street geometry so turning movements do not chew the first soldier course. Where the household needs a car overnight, we sequence the field so one bay stays usable as long as the layout allows.
Joint sand is locked after compaction, not left for the first thunderstorm to wash out. If the existing units are sound, a re-level with a repair band is often the better spend than a full tear-out.
